It’s bluebell time …

Bluebells are carpeting the floor of Boothland Wood in Uckfield and pictures are shared here by Simon Powell.

The Uckfield Town Council-owned wood can be accessed from behind the skate park at the Victoria Pleasure Ground.bluebells-boothland-wood-1

We’re lucky to have glorious displays of bluebells each year in Uckfield woods. Look out for them too in Views Wood between Manor Park and Buxted, and on the West Park nature reserve.

Have you a favourite bluebell walk? If so, please feel free to share your pictures on the Uckfield News Where I’ve been this week Facebook group where members recommend outings for others to enjoy.

• Bluebells are also out at Sheffield Park and Garden and woodland officer Tom will be leading a guided tour of the woods on Tuesday, May 1, from 10am to noon. More details here: Bluebells and beyond at Sheffield Park and Garden.
