itmsoil supervisor Phil Brice is to be the face of the company on the cover of the next issue of Builder & Engineer magazine.
Phil who works in the Inclination Department at the Uckfield headquarters of itmsoil can be seen holding a Digital Inclinometer which is about to be calibrated. The picture to be used can be seen below.
Phil, who lives at Peacehaven, has worked for itmsoil for 11 years.
He started as a bench technician in assembly, moved to the Inclination Department five years ago and was promoted to supervisor two years ago.
The inclinometer is used to measure soil movement in embankments and is just one of the state of the art instruments designed and manufactured by the fast-growing company.
Accompanying the picture inside Builder & Engineer magazine will be a two-page feature giving an overview of the type of project itmsoil is involved in.
The company’s products give early warning of movement in structures, tunnels, dams and on railways during major construction projects.
Builder & Engineer has a print run of 19,000. Most copies go to subscribers who include contractors, architects, civil engineers and developers with others being distributed to local authorities across the country.
An additional 2,000 copies are being printed for distribution at Ecobuild which is described, by organisers, as the world’s biggest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment and the UK’s largest construction event of any kind. Ecobuild takes place at ExCel, London, from Tuesday, March 20 to Thursday, March 22.
