Wealden District Council continues to support the business community by making training sessions available to help owners and managers grow their companies.

On June 16, in association with the Federation of Small Businesses, there is a business breakfast at the East Sussex National with two keynote speakers – one on creating a cost-effective marketing plan and the other on the value of apprenticeships.

A whole series of workshops is coming up to help business get the most out of Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook.

Chartered accountants Simmons Gainsford who have offices in Uckfield and London have merged with another central London firm, Newman Peters.

Luxford Field Farmers’ Market

Peter Bayless, BBC Masterchef Winner in 2006, will be cooking at Uckfield Farmers’ Market on the Luxford Field car park on Saturday, June 6, (10am to 12.30pm)  to celebrate the wealth of locally-produced, seasonal food on offer in the area.
