Community groups in Framfield, Blackboys and Palehouse Common are invited to submit bids for up to £300 of funding for good causes.
Framfield and Blackboys Horticultural Society is offering proceeds from its summer show to help provide ‘benefit’ within the three communities.
Society chairman Trevor Hince said: “There is no specific remit for the fund other than to help provide ’benefit’ to the community. For example, this might be to buy equipment for a play group, support an activity that helps the elderly or something that marks a significant event for the community.
“Local residents know better than anyone which projects deserve help so we are urging people to put in an application.”
Last year horticultural society funds went to the Monday Club, which provides a programme of events for senior citizens, and towards the 2020 production of Sleeping Beauty by amateur dramatics group the Framfield Stagers.
If you would like to apply for funding this year forms are available from Trevor Hince by calling 01435 863364 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, Ann Newton on 01825 890182, email@example.com, or Terry Everett, firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline for applications is April 30, 2020. If awarded, funding can start from November.
• Framfield and Blackboys Horticultural Society was set up just over 50 years ago with the aim of promoting horticulture and to encourage and support as many people as possible to grow their own flowers, fruit and vegetables.
