Honeys Green Osteopathic Clinic, near Uckfield, will remain open during the second Coronavirus lockdown.
If advice from the Government or Institute of Osteopathy changes patients will be informed straight away.
Principal osteopath Michael Pearce said osteopaths are listed as key workers and therefore do not have to shut their doors.
The Honeys Green Clinic has stringent Covid-19 cleaning and safety protocols in place and has the advantage of being accessed directly from outdoors so the room can be properly ventilated and cleaned between patients.
A WC can also be accessed from outside and is scrupulously cleaned and ventilated.
Mr Pearce said he would be ready to help anybody who wishes to make or keep appointments through lockdown, though he asks that patients in any of the following categories reschedule:
- Anyone who has Covid 19 symptoms, i.e. a temperature above 37.8 deg C, a new persistent cough or new breathing problems, a loss/change of sense of taste and /or smell. Anyone showing any of these symptoms should isolate at home for at least ten days.
- Anyone who has been in contact with another person with any of these symptoms and /or with a diagnosis of Covid 19 in the last 14 days. Anyone in this situation should isolate at home for 14 days.
- Anyone returning from international travel from a country not on the exemption list within the last 14 days. Any returning travellers must quarantine for 14 days.
Mr Pearce said the Government did not seem to have continued with the more strict guidelines for the vulnerable in our society, however if you are one of these people it is important to discuss your situation with a member of the Honeys Green team. It may be possible/more appropriate to help you via a telephone or video consultation.
He added: “Honeys Green Clinic would like to reassure all of its visitors that we follows up to date advice from the government and the NHS as well as very directed advice from the Institute of Osteopathy regarding the use of PPE, the process of cleaning treatment rooms, hand washing, aerating rooms and generally how to practice safely in these very difficult and ever changing times.
“If you wish to see our risk assessment or health and safety protocol then please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will be more than happy to send you through a copy.
“Warm wishes to you all at these difficult times – and do please call the clinic on 01825 840810 with any queries or if you are in need of help.”
