Families with children starting school in September 2019 and interested in learning more about Holy Cross School are invited to a play day there on Saturday, January 5.
The deadline for applications for a primary school place in the next academic year is Tuesday, January 15, and like other schools tours of Holy Cross have been organised during the last term.
Now, headteacher, Mrs Cathy Dart is inviting even more families to see what Holy Cross has to offer and so early years staff are hosting a stay and play session on Saturday, January 5, which will run from 10.30am to midday.
This will be chance for children and families to visit the school and familiarise themselves with the reception classroom and teaching team, and to ask any questions about what it’s like to attend Holy Cross.
Mrs Dart said: “Everyone is welcome, including those families who have already visited the school. Hosting a stay and play session at the weekend should enable parents who work to come along.”
Chair of governors Mrs Sandie Boniface said: “We are so proud of our school and Mrs Dart has really enjoyed giving personal tours to future parents and their children. Holy Cross is a bit of a hidden gem in the heart of Uckfield.”
If you would like to be involved in the opportunity to learn more about Holy Cross Primary School you are welcome to just turn up for the stay and play day.
If you would like more information about the event please call Julie Rae, or Claire Gooch, in the school office on 01825 762336.
