The Belfry, a Grade II listed building in New Town, Uckfield, is on the market for offers in excess of £1,250,000.
The historic property was built in 1892 and stayed in the same family until sold for the first time a few years ago.
Estate agents Vince Taylor Tofts, who have been instructed to sell The Belfry, say: “The property has been the subject of considerable improvement in recent years, but there is still huge scope for a purchaser to adapt the accommodation to their needs and create what will be a truly stunning home.
They add that the local landmark is offered with immediate vacant possession and no on-going chain. An internal inspection is strongly recommended.
Just two years ago The Belfry, including its gate piers and gates received its Grade II listing as being of special architectural or historic interest.
