The bureau specialises in new build properties and says Help to Buy is proving popular with those finding it difficult to get on to the property ladder. It is also available on the homes being built at Ridgewood.
Mortgage Advice Bureau has all the information you will need if you are interested in learning more about the scheme and is also able to help you work out whether you can pass the affordability assessment to take advantage of it.
Help to Buy is a Government scheme, recently extended to run until 2023, which applies only to new build homes.
You could qualify for a Government loan of up to 20% of the cost of your new home if you can provide an up front minimum cash deposit of 5%.
You wouldn’t be charged loan fees on the 20% loan for the first five years though fees would kick in from the sixth year.
Mortgage Advice Bureau business principal Grant Wagner said Taylor Wimpey which is building two, three, four and five bedroom homes at Ridgewood, has Help to Buy available.

• Grant and Katherine stress that your home maybe repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage. They say there may be a fee for mortgage advice. The actual amount you pay will depend upon your circumstances. The fee is up to 1%, but a typical fee is 0.3% of the amount borrowed.”
