A health food shop is moving to the former Hallmark cards premises in Uckfield High Street.
The retailer, from Lewes, also specialises in herbal remedies, organic products and health and energy supplements, according to Chris Lawson a partner at commercial agents Lawson Commercial.
Chris said: “Following the successful sale of the freehold interest to a local investor recently there was strong interest in this unit and the new landlord had two established retailers to choose from.”
The shop comprises just over 600 square feet of trading area with 274 square feet of storage at the rear. It was let at close to the asking rent of £19,000 a year.
A deal has been completed to allow the Kit Wilson Animal Trust to move into the former Blockbuster video shop in the Bell Walk shopping precinct.
And somebody has been found to take over the premises they will be vacating round the corner from Blockbuster.
Mr Lawson said the Blockbuster deal was agreed in the autumn of last year but was complicated by the fact that the landlords of Bell Walk went into receivership which delayed matters.
He added: “We have been very pleased to help this successful local charity expand its operation and we have also found someone for their existing premises at 6/7 Bell Walk as well.” Details of who they are were not revealed.
