Two Hallowe’en parties for children are coming up in Uckfield on Friday night. One will be at Barney’s Playbarn on the Bellbrook Estate and the other is being organised by King’s Church at the Civic Centre.
Tickets for the event at Barney’s, the soft play centre, are available for £8 per child at the centre, or by phone on 01825 764575. It will run from 5-7pm.
The Kings Church party is free of charge for primary school age children and promises all the treats without tricking on the night when children traditionally walk the streets in fancy dress knocking on doors and asking residents whether they would like ‘trick or treat’.
It takes place from 6-8pm and children are encouraged to ‘dress for mess not to impress’.
Parents are invited to go along too and have a drink in the Luxfords Bar while waiting for their children.
Phil Gough from King’s Church said: “We appreciate that many parents don’t celebrate Hallowe’en and then have to deal with children feeling they are missing out on all the treats.
“This is an opportunity to offer an alternative where they can have all the fun and treats without any worries that trick or treating can cause.”
