Grants aid for Uckfield groups

Grants for community organisations have been provisionally awarded by Uckfield Town Council.

The council’s finance sub committee is making the following recommendations for approval to the council’s general purposes committee.

  • Wealden Citizens Advice £18,900
  • Volunteer Bureau service level agreement £8,000
  • Wealden Works £3,500
  • Uckfield Bonfire and Carnival Society £3,000
  • Uckfield Festival Association £3,000
  • Uckfield FM £2,000
  • Uckfield College counselling service £2,000
  • Ridgewood Village Hall committee £1,800
  • Family Support Work £1,500
  • Uckfield and District Preservation Society £1,500
  • Uckfield ATC £1,500
  • Mediation+ £1,500
  • Uckfield Theatre Guild £600
  • St Wilfrid’s Hospice £600
  • Framfield and Blackboys Monday Club £500
  • Uckfield & District Age Concern £468
  • Uckfield Community Orchestra £400
  • Manor Park and Hempstead Fields Residents’ Association £325
  • East Sussex Association for the Blind £300
  • Uckfield Millennium Green £297
  • Royal British Legion £210

Grants become payable from the start of the new financial year in April. Larger grants are usually paid in two instalments.
