Our story on Monday, May 16: Look out for Uckfield’s Jade Earley on The Great British Sewing Bee on BBC 2 tonight at 9pm.
It was revealed last week that 18-year-old Jade is to appear on the programme. She is the youngest-ever contestant.
Jade is pictured here with her sewing teacher Becky Drinan who runs the Dot to Dot Studio in East Hoathly.
Jade started sewing with Becky about three years ago and got hooked on the new hobby after being forced to give up training as a triathlete following an injury.

• Expectations, the Fabric Shop and More, are offering 10% off all their dress fabrics during the new series of The Great British Sewing Bee.
Owner Chris Worrall has been increasing the range of dress fabrics and haberdashery and said: “We at Expectations will be fully supporting our local girl and it’s so pleasing to see a young person entering such a prestigious and highly entertaining programme.
“I hope this encourages more people to dust off their sewing machines. Good luck Jade.”
