Give your views about Uckfield Post Office move

There will be a chance to have your say, on Thursday, October 25, about the proposed move of Uckfield Post Office from its current High Street premises to WHSmith.

The Post Office is to host a customer forum at The Civic Centre on that day starting from 5.30pm and running through the evening.

The aim is to inform customers of the details of the proposal to move the Uckfield Post Office into a modern open-plan branch with extended opening hours.

The WHSmith branch which could accommodate the Post Office at 33 High Street, is 190 metres from the current site at 75 High Street.

The Post Office is inviting customers and interested parties to go along to the forum to hear more about the proposed new service from Post Office representatives.

A six-week consultation about the move began on Monday, October 14 and will close on Monday, November 25. The proposed date for the move is in January 2014.

There’s more detail about the move proposals in our earlier story:  Uckfield Post Office set to move to WHSmith.
