Councillor Roy Galley, recently elected as the new Chairman of the Uckfield Town Centre Regeneration Joint Committee, is eager that people contribute their ideas and views about the proposals to redevelop land in the centre of Uckfield.

Talking about the recently launched survey about the redevelopment phase of the project, Councillor Galley said:

“We really want to hear what people have to say about these proposals and I encourage everyone who lives in Uckfield and also in the surrounding areas to complete this important survey.

“It only takes a few minutes to answer the five questions but the results will be extremely valuable to the committee.

“The committee has listened to views in the past and changed its plans as a result and we need responses from as many people as possible so we can understand local views.”

The survey runs until December 2 and can be completed online on the home page of the Town Council website, www.uckfieldtc.gov.uk – or in writing with paper copies available from the Uckfield Town Council offices.

The results of the survey will be publically reported to the Joint Committee at its December meeting.
