Fun day coming up at Uckfield Fire Station

Crowd-drawing displays will be held during a Fun and Safety Day at Uckfield Fire Station during the Easter Holiday.

Attractions will include a simulated fire, a car rescue and the opportunity to sit in a fire engine and a police car.

There will also be a children’s entertainer, penalty shoot-out competition, badge-making, face-painting and crafts.

The event, on Wednesday, April 1, begins at 10.30am and runs until 1pm. Entry will be free and it is open to all ages, although children under ten should be accompanied by an adult.

The aim is to combine fun with encouraging families to think about keeping safe in a range of different situations – including personal safety, the prevention of home accidents, fire prevention, food safety and community safety.

The fire service will encourage people to have home safety fire checks.
