Updated on Wednesday, March 17: Free events that were due to be held at The Grove Farmhouse Cafe in Blackboys to tell people about health and social care research happening in East Sussex and across the south east of England have been cancelled.
The sessions were to be run by National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Network Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
The aim was to raise awareness that clinical research happens and to share information about it, hopefully gathering some interest in the process.
• The institute is part of the NHS, funded by the Department of Health and Social Care. It is one of 15 regional networks, covering Kent, Surrey, and Sussex, and is hosted by the Royal Surrey County Foundation Hospital NHS Trust.
The organisation provides funding across the region to cover the service support costs of research, and promotes high quality research opportunities for patients, and members of the public in health and social care settings. Read more on its website.
