Framfield school wins vouchers for sports equipment

Framfield Primary School children walked, scooted and cycled 3,322 miles over the summer as they took part in a Beat The Street initiative.

Their efforts scooped first place on the Rural Schools Leader Board and now they have been presented with £500 worth of vouchers to spend on sports equipment for the school.

The school community was led by long-standing member of staff Sandra Duncan and they have worked out that the distance they travelled is the same as that from Framfield to the Pyramids of Egypt.

Headteacher Lisa Pestell said the school was thrilled to accept the vouchers and staff and pupils will now have the opportunity of choosing equipment which will support every child in staying fit and healthy.
