Framfield Primary School boosts Nepal earthquake appeal

Framfield Primary School children have been raising funds in aid of the Nepal earthquake disaster appeal.

The school council, with Eagles class held a special assembly on Friday and were aiming to cover an outline map of Nepal with coins on their Bring a Pound, Save a Life Day.

Children researched earthquakes and learned a poem to recite in the assembly.

Headteacher Mrs Jacqueline Davies said the assembly was held to promote Christian values within the school, being supportive, and offering friendship and fellowship.

The poem learned can be seen below:

The Friendship Bench

Every colour and every creed,
People with money and people in need.
We want everyone sitting on the friendship bench.

No need to argue, no need to fight,
Nobody thinking that might is right,
Just everyone sitting on the friendship bench.

We want positive, negative, black and white,
Darkness giving way to the light.

Members of Framfield Primary School council with letting and a map of Nepal created as they raised funds for the Nepal earthquake appeal.
