Framfield flooding problem identified

Google Map shows Brook House Lane, Framfield, where East Sussex County Council has now identified the cause of a flooding problem.

The cause of a flooding problem in Brook House Lane, Framfield, has been identified and is to be put right.

East Sussex Highways reinspected the lane after Uckfield News readers said water was pouring down it after coming up from beneath the surface.

An East Sussex County Council spokesperson said this week they were aware of issues with the highways drainage system in the lane which included a BT telegraph pole that had damaged the highways drainage carrier pipe.

The spokesperson said: “We are working with BT to repair the damaged pipe, and once the drainage issue is fixed we will carry out repairs to the road surface.”
