A building that started life as a cow shed, and still has the bull pen and hayracks in place, is now available to hire for meetings, functions, classes, and social and community groups.
The Space, which is next door to The Grove Farmhouse Cafe at Brownings Farm, Blackboys, can seat up to 20 people theatre style while the bull pen is ideal for a private meeting of up to six people.
Uckfield-based Ashdown AV recently used The Space for a two day staff training course and managing director Peter Roe said afterwards: “The two days worked out really well and the hospitality was excellent. The Space was very clean, warm, quiet and the parking good.”
The Space is managed by The Grove Farmhouse Cafe and catering requirements can be tailor-made to your personal requirements.
The cafe uses many ingredients sourced from local suppliers and provides homemade meals and cakes.
Café owner and manager Andrew Doherty said: “We are excited at being able to offer this unique meeting venue. Taking on The Space gives us the facility to create a community hub, in an environment where all feel welcome and where activities and events, for both business and leisure, can take place.”
The Space can be hired Monday to Saturday from 9am to 10pm. The Grove Farmhouse Café is also available to hire for private events from 4pm Monday to Friday and all day on Saturday.
