Five Uckfield primary schools join forces

Five primary schools are joining forces to work together to “improve the life chances and education of children across Uckfield”.

Harlands, Holy Cross, Manor, St Philip’s and Rocks Park have become part of a network which aims to share skills, expertise and projects across the town schools.

Pupils were invited to design a logo for the Uckfield Town Schools’ Alliance and three children from Rocks Park were awarded with certificates to celebrate their winning design. They were Maisie Morey, Joe Love and Chloe Coster.

Alliance co-ordinator Mrs Den Banfield said: “As children are at the heart of our work we were keen to involve them in the design of our new logo.

School council members from across the primary schools took part in a marketing and logo design session where they discussed the aims of the alliance and how logos are used to represent well-known companies and organisations.

“They entered a competition to create their own logos to represent the spirit of the network.”
