Firefighters busy cleaning a car to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity

Fire Fighters Charity benefits by £350 from Uckfield crews’ car wash

Nearly 50 cars were washed in Uckfield on Saturday (March 14), raising £350 for The Fire Fighters Charity.

The event at the town’s fire station was arranged and set up by Paul Henty, with cars cleaned by the retained car wash at Uckfield 5

Green Watch helped but were called away to Forest Row which meant they missed the busiest part of the day.

The Fire Fighters Charity raises money to support firefighters – financially, physically and mentally; whether they need rehabilitation from injury, to combat stress or to provide welfare services.

Firefighter Steve Ramsey said: “We would like to thank the community of Uckfield for their continued support to our station and crews.”

Anyone needing a home safety visit can pop into the station or call 01825 745900.
