ELECTION: Labour name trio to fight Uckfield area county council seats

Labour has announced its three candidates to stand for seats in the Uckfield area in the East Sussex County Council elections on May 4.

Robert Williams will stand in Uckfield North, Gareth Looker in Buxted and Maresfield and Will Ball, Uckfield South and Framfield.


Robert Williams

Mr Williams is a postgraduate student at Brighton and Sussex Medical School, studying global health.

Former UCTC student

He grew up in Uckfield, attended UCTC and supported the campaign to save the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in the county.

Mr Looker runs his own small marketing company and is a committee member of Uckfield Chamber of Commerce.


Gareth Looker

He helped with the town council-run Uckfield is Open campaign.


Mr Ball runs a small beekeeping business.


Will Ball

Until last year he was a maths teacher at Heathfield Community College.

He has campaigned locally to keep public libraries open.
