Plans have been submitted to build six eight-bedroom houses within a gated development in Maresfield.
The detached homes would be at Lampool Corner, on the corner of Straight Half Mile, and The Drive, if approved by Wealden Council.
A letter with the planning application says each property would sit within a large plot with detached garage, and office space above.
There would also be a new communal green area and proposed play area for the benefit of residents.
The letter, from Peter Terry of PJ Developments, says current houses off Straight Half Mile and The Drive are large detached family properties with two storeys and converted loft space. “As such we believe our proposal is in keeping with the current housing stock in the area.”
He adds: “We believe the proposed development would enhance the current area and make use of land that is currently unused and unproductive in line with the National Planning Policy Framework, and Government guidelines to provide high quality housing.”
