Uckfield-based Cranwell Wealth Solutions hosted a lunch for clients with Eddie the Eagle as one of the speakers.
Eddie, real name Michael Edwards, became famous back in 1988 as the first competitor since 1928 to represent Great Britain in Olympic ski-jumping.
He told of overcoming trials and tribulations – not having the finances, necessary equipment or even a coach – by using sheer determination, and hard work, to achieve his dream.
Cranwell Wealth Solutions, a wealth management company, also invited industry professionals to speak at the event in Dorking and offer advice.
Gavin McGhee, a St James’s Place Wealth Management Consultant discussed issues surrounding investing, while Richard Tutill, a business development manager at WPA Health Insurance, talked about the benefits and protection that private medical insurance can provide.
Cranwell director Stephen Palmer said the day was fantastic and all three talks were well received. He is hoping the lunch will become an annual affair as a thank you to loyal clients.
