East Hoathly pupils hold virtual harvest festival

Pupils at East Hoathly Church of England Primary school and Nursery have celebrated the season with a virtual harvest festival.

The pupils recorded performances, readings, and prayers, and the Rev Phil Hodgins recorded a talk and prayer for the community.

Harvest is always an enjoyable time of year at the school and nursery. Normally each class creates a themed performance, prayers are shared and thanks are given in an inclusive service in the church.

Parents and members of the community attend and celebrate with the pupils.

During the pandemic, class bubbles have been holding virtual assemblies and sharing learning between classes via Google Meet and so a Virtual Harvest Festival became a way for celebrations to still go ahead.
