Duke Letting celebrates 20 years in business

Duke Letting, a property letting and management company based at the top of Uckfield High Street, is celebrating 20 years in business.

The company was launched in Heathfield before coming to Uckfield and proprietor Rod Carmichael is delighted with its success.

He says Duke Letting scores highly on client satisfaction, turnover and profit, staff retention, local reputation and sustained growth.

He is particularly pleased that some tenants looked after by the company have moved on to become landlords themselves with Duke Letting acting for them.

Rod said: “The business has grown while still keeping to the core value of providing the best possible service to both landlords and tenants. This has resulted in retaining customers year after year, including some from our very first year.

“Our record of virtually no deposit disputes can be verified with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme and is a result of careful vetting prior to tenancy, regular interaction with tenants during the tenancy, and a hands-on approach to the end of tenancy.”

He added that during the 20 years of successful trading there had been only one change to full-time staff. “We have an excellent range of skills and experience to meet all the needs of our clients and to keep Duke Letting at the edge of IT innovations and up to date with all the latest regulations.”

The company is a member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents and abides by the association’s strict rules of membership including full protection of clients’ money, insurance, accountancy checks and membership of the Ombudsman Scheme to ensure clients are taking the minimum of risk in instructing Duke Letting.
