The Highlands Inn, Uckfield, set for a party night.

Do you know someone who needs a treat?

The Highlands Inn, Uckfield, is looking for nominations for a person, or group of people, who deserve a treat.

Landlord Matt Ridley’s aim is to give a special person the chance to spend a much-needed fun evening with friends.

To make that happen he is donating a table for six at a Christmas Party night at The Highlands, on Saturday, December 8.

The evening will start with a glass of fizz for the chosen person, and their friends, followed a three course meal, coffee and mints, and then a disco from 9.45pm until midnight.

Landlord Matt Ridley asks: “Do you know someone who has had a particularly hard year? Maybe they are recovering from illness or they have done so much for the community they deserve a treat themselves.

“Whatever the reason, we want to hear from you.”

Special person

To nominate your special person all you have to do is follow this link to The Highlands Inn website, complete a form and say why they deserve a treat.

Matt and his team will then choose the person who will be offered the chance to relax with friends and enjoy a fun evening in a celebratory atmosphere.

Children’s party

• The Highlands Inn is also planning its first-ever children’s Christmas party and running a competition to find a Christmas-themed picture for posters advertising the event.

All children under the age of 12 are invited to put their thinking caps on, get out their crayons or paints, and design a picture which could be used.

Please use A4-size paper and add your name, age, and contact number on the back.

Please drop your entries into The Highlands Inn, or email them to: The competition closing date is Saturday, November 24.

For every design used by the pub you will receive a free ticket to the party at the end of December. More details on that will follow.
