Toby is an A-level design student at Uckfield Community Technology College and it was his use of an arrow representing forward motion that also doubles as a house that appealed to judges. “Simple yet effective,” was the verdict.2ndlogo steering group

The runner-up was Perry Mitchel who used a ship’s wheel, right, to depict the “steering” group as it guides people towards Uckfield’s future.

In third place was Freddy Dawson. He used a tree in the word Uckfield, see below right, to highlight the rural nature of Uckfield and its protected green spaces.P

The winning logo can now be seen on the Uckfield Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group’s website. The arrow/house is used as its Facebook profile picture.
