Winner of a competition to design a logo for the Uckfield Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group was student Toby Aldred.
Toby is an A-level design student at Uckfield Community Technology College and it was his use of an arrow representing forward motion that also doubles as a house that appealed to judges. “Simple yet effective,” was the verdict.
The runner-up was Perry Mitchel who used a ship’s wheel, right, to depict the “steering” group as it guides people towards Uckfield’s future.
The winning logo can now be seen on the Uckfield Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group’s website. The arrow/house is used as its Facebook profile picture.
