Dawson Hart solicitors have given up their Uckfield High Street office – while keeping premises in Church Street – as they plan expansion in another town.
The premises at 101 High Street, Uckfield, are on the market with commercial agents Lawson Commercial.
Dawson Hart managing director Jacqueline Hardaway said the solicitors are continuing with plans to expand operations across the county.
She told Uckfield News: “Our base and main office will continue to be in Church Street but prior to the pandemic we made the decision to spread our services further by moving our second office, formerly in the High Street, Uckfield, to another town.”
Jacqueline added: “By opening a second office elsewhere this will provide our clients with greater access to our legal services and enhance our ability to serve the wider community.
“Our intention is always to have our base and main office in Uckfield, but rather than having two offices in one town, it makes sense to widen our reach.”
Fine period building
Lawson Commercial partner Chris Lawson says 101 High Street is a fine period building with impressive features including original cornices and fireplaces throughout the building, and a magnificent ground floor room with full height windows overlooking the rear garden.
He added: “There is some 3,000 sq ft overall including a very useful annexe at the rear of the property overlooking the garden, which would be ideal for those businesses that have need for a training room, or a large meeting room.
“A very useful facility is a rear car park, with space for up to ten vehicles.
“The property is located right in the heart of Uckfield, and available to rent on a new lease of £26,000 a year.”
