Updated on Wednesday, February 21: Dates have now been given, on road signs, for closure of London Road, Uckfield, for resurfacing work.
The work is now due to be undertaken over three nights from Tuesday, March 6, between 8pm and 6am.
From our original story on Thursday, February 8: Overnight road closures are planned on London Road from the Browns Lane junction to a point 130 metres north of the junction with Coopers Green Road.
They will take place between Monday, February 19, and Monday, March 12, from 8pm to 6am so that resurfacing works can be undertaken.
Uckfield Town Council published details of the closures saying that dependent on weather conditions the works are likely to be completed in two phases between the two dates.
Diversions will be in place and the A22 is the recommended route.
• Resurfacing works are also to be undertaken overnight on the A26 between Budletts Roundabout and the junction with Rocks Lane, High Hurstwood, a distance of 500 metres.
