More than 70 trees are to be decorated by members of the community for this year’s Christmas Tree Festival at Holy Cross Church.
The festival will begin on Friday, December 7, when the trees can be seen from 10am until 8pm. There will be late night shopping in town that evening.
The next day, Saturday, December 8, and on Sunday, December 9, there will be a barbecue of hotdogs and hamburgers and warm drinks available. Opening times are from 10am-6pm on the Saturday and from noon until 4pm on the Sunday.
In the adjacent Belmont Centre morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea will be served for visitors and there will be stalls offering Christmas gifts including handicrafts, jams, preserves and chutneys.
A Christmas service will be held at 4.30pm on Sunday to formally close the festival.
