Consultation on the Wealden Council Corporate Plan for 2010-2013 and Budget for 2010/11 is due to begin on December 18 with feedback encouraged by January 11, 2010.
The draft corporate plan is due to be considered by the council's cabinet on Wednesday, December 9, with members being asked to confirm priorities in the light of the emerging budget and agree consultation arrangements.
The final corporate plan and budget are due to be approved by cabinet on February 17, 2010 and published on the web on March 31.
The council aims to save £2.7 million by 2012 and its five key issues prioritised in the draft corporate plan are efficiencies and budget, local development framework, community support, recycling and waste minimisation and sustainability.
The council will consult with its partners, town and parish councils, the Wealden Panel and conduct a telephone or postal survey costing around £8,000.
