A company planning to take over premises at Squires Farm Industrial Estate, Palehouse Common, is seeking confirmation from Wealden Council that it is lawful to carry out its activities on the site.
Cleansing Service Group intends to station eight commercial vehicles there and also have associated storage and ancillary office space. The company has applied for a Certificate of Lawfulness for a Proposed Use or Development.
The site is about a third of an acre in size and currently vacant. It was previously occupied by Refrigerated Vehicles Ltd which left in 2012.
Squires Farm Industrial Estate is about two kilometres north of Halland and two-and-a-half kilometres south of Blackboys.
It is accessed via a concrete road leading from Palehouse Common Road, an unclassified road which adjoins the B2192. The B2192 connects to the A22.
