Youngest guest at a Macmillan coffee event at Bonners School, Maresfield, on Friday, was four-day-old Sapphire Packham.
She was with her grandmother Lynn Packham, a teaching assistant at the school who also manned the cake stall.
Caretaker Franco Barbarossa, East Sussex Caretaker of the Year for 2013, was there too wearing a bow tie for the occasion and with a flower pinned to his shirt pocket. He is pictured below with Dawn Whitmey and Toni Birkbeck who greeted guests at the door.
There was an open invitation to come to the school before pick-up time to enjoy cakes and drinks as the school raised funds for Macmillan and a feast was laid out for guests.
The chairman of Uckfield Macmillan Cancer Support Ann Press called in during the afternoon to wish the fund-raisers well. Earlier in the day she was drenched along with Uckfield Mayor Cllr Ian Smith in an Ice Bucket Challenge in aid of the charity. See: Ice Bucket Challenge soaks Uckfield Mayor for Macmillan.
An hour into the event £300 had been raised for Macmillan at Bonners.
