More than £500 has been raised for Framfield Primary School through clothing donations for EcoKids, a textile recycling project.

Head teacher Lisa Pestell said a huge quantity of clothing was collected (915kg) which raised £503.25.

She said: “It is very difficult within the current social distancing guidance to find ways to continue to raise money, but, once again, our PTFA have been resourceful and creative.”

The money will go towards books for a new school library which opened after the summer. Lisa said the significant development project enabled them to extend the library and create a wonderful new learning space.

She added that the much needed curriculum books being bought by the PTFA would really enrich the children’s lessons.
