East Sussex County Council said the changes were “in order to overcome timing issues and occasional difficulties of access in Manor Way for the larger buses used on service 261”.
From the end of last month services 248 and 249, which operate Mondays to Fridays, have been revised to make all the journeys to the Church Coombe Estate.
Service 261 has been re-routed to operate direct via the High Street and London Road.
The 248/249 service is also revised to include links to Uckfield Community Hospital via Harcourt Road, Vernon Road and Selby Road, previously provided by service 261.
Service 248 has been extended beyond Hadlow Down to/from Dog Kennel Lane at the request of the parish council.
The council said use of Saturday 261 journeys via Church Coombe and to the link with the hospital had been “disappointing” since the service was introduced in August 2011.
Two Saturday journeys will continue to be diverted via Church Coombe but there will be no hospital service due to lack of use.
Service 318 is a nearby alternative which serves Famfield Road on its way to Heathfield and beyond.
Roadworks in Snatts Road, expected to last until nearly the end of the month, are disrupting services to Church Coombe.
