An Uckfield care provider is thanking its staff for their continuing efforts during the pandemic – by giving each of them an additional day of annual leave.
Candlelight Care’s staff have, like so many others on the frontline, worked tirelessly through the past year to ensure the vulnerable people they support receive their care visits.
The company’s board has recognised this, and decided to award the additional day’s holiday so that staff can relax and reflect on the events of 2020.
Cherry Catley-Day, proprietor of Candlelight Care, said, “The past year has been one of the most challenging for a generation. This gesture is our way of showing our gratitude to our staff for their continued work and sacrifice.”
Candlelight Care is a family-run company with an office in Uckfield, and head office in Glastonbury, Somerset.
It offers homecare and live-in care services in Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire and East Sussex and has been caring for people of all ages in their own homes for more than 30 years. Its services are rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission.
