Burglars smashed a window and broke into a key safe at Car Repairs 4U on the Bellbrook Estate, Uckfield, at the weekend.
The break-in happened at 9.15pm on Sunday and two men wearing stockings over their faces were captured on CCTV walking through the estate, carrying a flashlight and peering into windows.
Smashed
David Hare from Car Repairs 4U said: “They were wearing sweatshirts, jogging bottoms, trainers. We had our front window smashed in and our key safe crowbarred open.
“They went through our toolbox and workshop but although they broke in and caused damage nothing was stolen so they were presumably looking for cash.”
Mr Hare said he wanted to let other local businesses know there were thieves operating in Uckfield.
The police have been informed.
See CCTV below. (Note the CCTV is an hour behind because the clock wasn’t changed to summer time.)
