Bowls open morning, holiday inspirations event, and ladies’ night coming up

Open morning at Wealden Bowls Centre

There’s an open morning at Wealden Bowls Centre in Maresfield tomorrow (Saturday) and you are welcome to call in for a taster session and coffee.

The event runs from 9.30am to 1pm and will give you the chance to see the centre’s six rink bowling green where a special introductory course is offered for new members.

Crafts and yoga

Also tomorrow there’s a craft and artisan market at Bridge Cottage and a Gong Bath with Clare at Uckfield Yoga Studio.


Aesthetics clinic comes to hairdressing salon

Today (Friday) Claire Davies Hairdressing welcomes Foxwood Clinic, a London-based aesthetics clinic to its premises in Bell Walk.

On Sunday, especially for people looking for holiday ideas, there is a #HolidayInspirations Show organised by Baldwins Travel, at the East Sussex National Resort.


During the week

On Tuesday there’s a Ladies’ Night at Bonners Primary School where clothing, accessories, and jewellery, from the recently closed Uckfield boutique Chapter Three will be for sale at £5 an item.


And on Thursday Uckfield Lions are holding a recruitment evening and hope people interested in putting something back into the community and helping people less fortunate than themselves will go along as prospective members.


There are two Macmillan coffee mornings coming up on Friday. One, in memory of artist Sheila Hay is at Fuller and Scott funeral directors, and the other is at W E Clark & Son jewellers.

Cocker – a tribute to the legend is coming to Uckfield Civic Centre on Friday. It will be a 12-piece tribute to the man from his Grease Band days at Woodstock, through 35 years and 22 albums of music.


Next weekend

On Saturday there’s a studio open day and remnants sale at the Dot to Dot Studio in East Hoathly, Let’s Rock the Hall at High Hurstwood, and a performance by the Charcoal Burners at Framfield Church.

There’s also a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Saturday at High Hurstwood.

On Sunday Uckfield Lions are holding their classic car rally to raise funds for good causes.
