Boost for Uckfield Volunteer Centre from rugby club founding fathers

Dilapidated chairs have been replaced at Uckfield Volunteer Centre thanks to a donation of £500 from the Founding Fathers of Uckfield Rugby Club.

The volunteer centre which was relaunched with a new look last year says the chairs help bring the organisation one step closer to having a fully functioning office enabling them to continue to provide an invaluable and even better service to the Uckfield community.

The official presentation of the chairs took place on Friday, February 21, and was attended by volunteer centre chairman Margaret Eaves and treasurer Bob Eaves.

Thanks to volunteer centre trustee Sue Edwards for the photograph taken at the presentation.

Here’s a story we carried when the volunteer centre re-launched last year: Celebration as Uckfield Volunteer Centre relaunches.
