Bonfire and Carnival capers are under way in Uckfield High Street today as the town gears up for tonight’s (September 3) big event.
A collection is under way, with all money being distributed by the carnival society to charity.
People have donned various costumes, including the regular adult babies, a character from Hi-de-Hi and others as our selection of photographs shows.
The carnival weekend began last night with a spectacular and noisy fireworks display to crowds who had gathered on the Holy Cross school field and surrounding areas.
The first procession through the town will be just after lunch as the children make their way from the Victoria Pleasure Ground to Southview Drive and back into town.
