Blackboys and Framfield schools celebrate creativity

Blackboys and Framfield primary schools have been celebrating creativity in festivals this week.

Music, dance, poetry and art have all been on display at the schools which work together in a federation.

Headteacher at Framfield Mrs Lisa Pestell said all the arts were included, literacy, visual and performing with individuality and creativity being celebrated.

Headteacher at Blackboys Mr Graham Sullivan said they particularly wanted to improve writing, and encouraging the children to get immersed in a topic, following through with dance and art made a big difference to the creativity.

Pictures below were taken at both schools.

Some of the teachers and pupils hosting a festival of work at Blackboys Primary School last night are, from the left, headteacher Graham Sullivan, Isla Blackmore, Rebecca Sullivan, Class 2 teacher Hannah Sullivan, Alice Lynch, school secretary Lucy Sheffield, and Harry Wickens.

Class 4 at Blackboys Primary School has been writing about rivers and incorporating them in all aspects of learning from art to dance. Here Isla Blackmore shows her painting using the technique of Pointillism where tiny dots of colour are applied to form an image.

Key Stage 1 violinists at Framfield Primary School performed on stage last night. Children are also pictured with some of their work. See pictures here.
