Barney’s Playbarn re-opens today after flood clean-up

Update on Thursday, July 7: Barney’s Playbarn re-opens today after a clean-up following a flood.

Visitors will be welcome at the later than usual time of 9.30am. Dehumidifiers will still be running and owner Louise Jago suggests bringing a change of socks.

She says thank you to customers for their patience.

Update on Wednesday, July 6: Barney’s Playbarn will be closed again today as efforts continue to dry out the soft play centre which was flooded yesterday.

A burst pipe caused the damage and while most of the water was mopped up yesterday the play area was still a little wet by the end of the day.

Owner Louise Jago said she was hoping dehumidifiers would help overnight. She is hoping to re-open tomorrow.

Our original story on Tuesday, July 5: Flooding has closed Barney’s Playbarn today. The damage was caused by a burst pipe which was carrying mains water to the coffee machine.
