Maresfield musician Nick Corbin has seen his band’s new album go on sale in a national record store – and reach the ‘most recommended’ list in many branches.
No Hard Feelings was released on vinyl, as well as CD, by the band New Street Adventure which has been signed to the Acid Jazz record label.
The album was released on October 27 and sales are going well, especially now that they are on the HMV most recommended list in many of their branches.
The shelf screamer says: ‘The East London group’s hard-hitting soul meets guitar sound is allied by the memorable song writing of lead singer Nick Corbin. His work tells of struggles, loves and the musical excitements of 20-something London living. The music is beautifully realised by the five piece group, augmented by strings and horns.’
The album has received excellent reviews with one American reviewer putting it in his top ten for the year.
Nick, singer, songwriter and rhythm guitarist, is now based in London. Charlie Myers, from Isfield, is also in the band, on keyboards.
New Street Adventure recently played to a sell-out crowd at The Haunt in Brighton and the 100 Club on Oxford Street.
