Three men and a youth were arrested by police officers after a spate of burglaries in Buxted.
Police in Wealden carried out Operation Discover on Friday after at least six properties were burgled in the area in the last few weeks.
Wealden neighbourhood policing team were also in the area last week calling on homes to offer crime prevention advice as well as marking property.
Wealden District Commander Chief Inspector Dick Coates said: “This was an excellent result after we saw a significant increase in burglaries across the Buxted area. My team were put in the area to proactively look for the offenders.
“We work tirelessly to keep Wealden a relatively low crime area, and these arrests certainly echo that.”
A 17-year-old boy from Uckfield and an 18-year-old man from Buxted were arrested on suspicion of burglary and released on bail until April 2. A 19-year-old man and an 18-year-old man both from Buxted were also arrested on suspicion of burglary and were later released on bail until April 3 .
