Children are pictured enjoying nets at Branching Out Adventures but teenage boys are trying to get onto them during the evenings and causing trouble at the adventure centre.

Appeal for information about boys causing trouble at adventure centre

A treetop adventure centre is appealing for information about youngsters causing trouble on their site during the evening.

Branching Out Adventures centre manager Chris Smith said teenage boys are entering the site and trying to get onto nets and other activities there.

“They are pushing heavy equipment over and giving us extra clean-up work to do in the mornings. They have even broken glass windows on a building up in the woods.”

Hurling abuse

Chris said the youngsters were escorted off the site by security services hired by a festival last weekend and have since been seen hurling abuse at passing dog walkers from a climbing wall.

“This is such a shame as we work really hard to support children to get outdoors and learn about what is possible in this environment and children really do benefit from what we provide so we feel let down by these young people.”

Police

Chris told Uckfield News that the police have been told. They advised the centre to publicise the trouble in the hope that anyone who knows who might be responsible will come forward.

Chris appealed for anyone with information to get in touch with the centre via info@branchingoutadventures.co.uk so they could stop it happening.
