Anytime Fitness Uckfield reopens on Monday

Anytime Fitness Uckfield ready to welcome new and returning members on Monday.

Anytime Fitness Uckfield is looking forward to welcoming new and returning members when the gym reopens on Monday (April 12).

Club manager Hannah McCloy says comprehensive safety measures, introduced last year, will still be in place to keep the public safe.

Training plan

The Uckfield club is providing all new and returning members with a free six-week training plan because indoor leisure facilities will have been closed for more than four months by the time the opening date arrives.

The ‘Revive’ plan will offer in-club, at home, and outdoor cardio workouts to help people transition back into the health club environment after the significant time away.

Anytime Fitness Uckfield offers a discount for members of the emergency services.

Hannah said: “We’re eagerly awaiting the chance to welcome back the community. The safety of the public is our number one priority, and we hope people feel comfortable with the range of safety measures that will be in place.

She added: “We want to make sure everyone feels supported when they return to our clubs, and the six-week training plan we create will help people gradually build up to their previous levels of fitness and get back into a routine.

“With darker nights and adverse weather, this has arguably been the toughest lockdown yet to stay active in, and we’re looking forward to helping improve the physical, and mental, wellbeing of our members, as we hopefully begin to emerge into more positive times.”

Hannah said recent data showed that across more than 75 million visits to gyms and leisure facilities between July 2020 and January 2021, there was a Covid-19 prevalence rate of just 1.7 cases per 100,000 visits.

Members of Anytime Fitness Uckfield have their own key to access the premises day and night.

She said that visitors to Anytime Fitness Uckfield would find equipment spaced to ensure social distancing, stringent internal cleaning regimes, self-serve cleaning stations, capacity management, and increased ventilation.
