Another £313 has been raised as an Uckfield couple work towards building a school in Gambia.
The money came via a sale at Portman Court and residents have asked for another to be held at Christmas.
Fund-raiser and sale organiser Tanya Catt said she hoped to do that but it would depend on the number of donations of items for sale received before then.
Wreath-making class
In the meantime a wreath-making class is being held in support of the project on Tuesday, November 20, at the Cinque Ports Club at 7.30pm.
A professional florist will teach you how to make your own Christmas wreath ready to take home and hang on your door. You will also be able to enjoy a mince pie, find Christmas gifts and take part in a raffle.
Tickets are £30 each and if you would like to support the event please contact Tanya on 07719721378, or email her at tanya73catt@icloud.com.
