Laura Manton, left, collects Easter eggs donated by Tesco and its customers for an Easter egg hunt in Uckfield tomorrow.

All set for Easter Egg hunt in Uckfield

Preparations are well on their way for a Good Friday Easter Egg Hunt being organised by Dawson Hart solicitors. All money raised will go to the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity.

Gates open at 10.30 at Uckfield Rugby Club, Hempstead Playing Fields, TN22 1LX.

It is going to be a morning packed full of fun for children to enjoy and even if the sun doesn’t come out there will be plenty going on indoors – just pack the wellies for the Easter egg hunt.

Entrance entitles your little one to an Easter Egg hunt and face painting but there will also be a bouncy castle, crafts, tombola and other games and a special visit from the Easter Bunny. Tickets are £5 on the door for children (under 1s and adults go free).

Laura Manton from Dawson Hart said: “We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of Tesco and its customers who have donated eggs to the Easter Egg hunt and would like to extend a big thank you to them all.”

Local businesses in Uckfield have also donated to a tombola and Laura said to thank you to Kids Stuff, The Uckfield Candy Store, Final Score sports shop, Poppins restaurant, Waitrose and The Picture House who have donated cinema tickets.

She added: “It is wonderful to have the support of local businesses who are helping us to raise money for Rockinghorse.”

Rockinghorse Children’s Charity is the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital.  It was set up 45 years ago to provide additional resources to improve healthcare services for sick children and babies.

The charity’s aim is to raise money for life-saving equipment and to provide an environment that is better suited to children.  They don’t get any government funding, but rely on generous outside support from individuals and organisations.
